So...Its Late...But Here It Is....

Shortly before we left Tanzania...The church at Kisongo hosted a "farewell party"...but I never got pictures on here.... because our computers crashed and we were busy...and I just never got around to picking up the camera and plugging it in to something.   Here is the post. :)

They set us at a table in front of everybody....and I'm not the biggest fan of that. Lol

Btw...I know sometimes the words and pictures aren't where they should be...:/ They can be all mixed up. :) But its hard sometimes to realize where everything will end up...sorry. :)

I look kinda weird...

:)

Charles Herbeth translating for Ahimidewe (A-he-me-dee-way...lol) Kimaro, the preacher at Kisongo.

Another man from Kisongo, Ibrahim Mrutu

Dad reading a note we wrote to the church. *tears*

Happiness, was chosen to speak for the youth at Kisongo...but she got up there and *tears* couldn't say anything.  She is so sweet, and it was definitely hard leaving such an amazing friend there. :'(

They gave us a coo-koo clock...:)
 and a painting...but I can't really get the picture to work...sorry. :)

Paulina, Happiness' mother, gave mom this super cute basket.
So you see we are clapping...why? In Tz..you clap for the person giving the gift. :)

:)

The children gave us some sweet lil' gifts...necklaces, bracelets and earrings to us girls, and bracelets to the boys.  The little boy in the purple, Benson (Happiness' brother) gave dad a key-chain in the TZ flag colors...{Black, blue, yellow, and green}

The children giving out the jewelry. :)

A student, Kennedy, gave a speech. :)

Daddy

Someone giving mom a bracelet...:)

Okay, so...we laughed...they laughed....ect. BUT....This was such an honor! When you get these kind of things...it shows you are highly respected. They gave dad the traditional Masaai "apparel"...the robes, the "sticks"...(lol)....but yes...it was funny...

Afterward Pics...and Lunch:
